All of our in-person and online open mics are selected at random. For our in-person experiences, once the doors open and for 30 minutes only, you can sign a raffle ticket as your entry. Once we get started with the open mic, poets are selected one at a time, at random for the duration of the night. For our online open mics, once you join the LIVE you can Submit a Request to Join and poets will be selected at random. Poets are allowed one poem only within a 5 minute timeframe for both experiences.

Just show up, whether in-person or online. The best way to be tapped into what we do and become a part of our community (family), is to simply show up and be yourself. Be supportive, be loving, be engaging, be fun, be creative, be unique, be all the things that will make you feel like family and then you will be… family.

Once our tickets are Sold Out, no further tickets will be sold online or at the door. We set the tickets available for purchase to match the capacity given by the venue and are unable to add any extra people. We advise grabbing tickets as early as possible as our experiences sell out every month and if you miss your chance to grab for the upcoming one, grab tickets to the following one so you don’t miss out on the fun.

Yes, we are open to taking our Poetry Open Mic Experience to venues and schools/universities across the country. Please email us at findus@voicesinpower.com with some information and we can move forward from there.
